Natural Raw Material of the Industry
Health Product of Our Little Friends
We turn the miraculous bentonite offered to us by nature into the sand of our little friends by using the most accurate, environmentally friendly and advanced technologies without losing anything from its naturalness.
Bentonite is a versatile clay mainly composed of montmorillonite that is formed through the chemical weathering of volcanic ash, tuff, and lava rich in aluminum and magnesium. It is widely used in various industries such as agriculture, mining, engineering geology, and manufacturing due to its colloidal properties and high plasticity.
Bentonite's binding properties and high plasticity make it suitable for use as a molding material in casting sands. It also facilitates the thickening of drilling mud, the upward movement of cuttings, and the prevention of water leakage. Bentonite, which has binding and plastic properties, is used as a natural raw material in iron powder pelletization, obtaining water and liquid impermeability in foundation and dam structures, clarification of wine and fruit juices, animal feed production, filling material in the pharmaceutical, paper, and rubber industries, and as an additive in the cement and ceramic industries.
Granulated bentonite raw material is used to produce cat litters that have high liquid absorption capacity, low dust content, and high clumping capacity. Therefore, these cat litters provide total hygiene by not only ensuring cleanliness but also by absorbing odors due to their liquid absorption and clumping properties.
Cat litter products containing bentonite provide excellent clumping performance thanks to their compact granule size. Cat litters with different granule sizes can be produced, and those produced in the compact, i.e., fine-grained bentonite format have a much higher liquid and odor absorption capacity than cat litters with larger granule sizes.
The natural form of bentonite raw material has a moisture content of 30-35%. The raw material is dried to a moisture content of 8-12% and then classified according to grain size using screening systems. The granulated cat litters obtained from the screening process are packaged in desired sizes in packaging machines. The production and packaging process is highly hygienic, and the dust generated during the process is minimized by removing it from the system.
